Space Lab Workshop

InteleQ is a Pune-based STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) learning centre that primarily focusses on educating the school students through its interdisciplinary and applied approach. In the past, InteleQ had conducted summer camps, photography workshops, science workshops, poster, art, essay, poetry competitions and many more. The organisation has a world-wide presence through its on-going virtual and contact-mode activities, and has successfully reached out to more than 3000 bright young minds globally.

As a part of the National Science Day celebration, InteleQ is organising a series of workshops, competitions, seminars and fun-filled activities for school students to impart fundamental science concepts through a creative approach.

Space Lab workshop was organised by InteleQ on 19 February, 2023 at Mahesh Vidyalaya, Kothrud, Pune for school students. The workshop aimed at introducing the various aspects of space technology to students of 8-12 years. Box of Science was the partner for the event and they provided DIY kits to each student. These kits were designed to inculcate a thorough understanding of the design and features of rockets and satellites. The activities at the workshop boosted imagination, curiosity and skills among the little scientists. 3D models of PSLV, GSLV rockets and satellites were major attractions for the students. In the three-hour workshop, the participants also received exposure on Indian Space Program, progress of rocket and satellite technology, and their various applications. The workshop has been attended by almost 50 students from 18 schools around Pune and PCMC.

InteleQ has started to register school students for the third science workshop of this series, to be held on 26 February, 2023 in Pune. The workshop will educate the school students on “Understanding Behaviour of Light” through hands-on activities, make-and-take home models and interaction with experienced and qualified science educators. Further, an online Science Project Competition, involving working and static models to present innovative ideas, is getting submissions from school students across the globe. The last date to register for the competition is 25th February, 2023. The project can be submitted upto 27th February, 2023.
